Subscription

The subscription belongs to the active workspace. It controls the base plan and the entitlements used by that workspace’s games, launcher, builds, team, and services.
Only the workspace Owner can purchase, change, cancel, or renew the subscription and manage add-ons. Admin and Viewer roles cannot perform billing changes.

Subscription scope

Switching workspaces changes the subscription context shown by the dashboard.

Open Subscription

Select Subscription in the left sidebar. The page can show:
  • Current plan.
  • Monthly or annual billing option.
  • Available plans.
  • Included limits and features.
  • Current subscription status.
  • Current period dates.
  • Upgrade or plan-selection action.
  • Cancellation state when applicable.
The exact prices, limits, and plan availability displayed by the dashboard are the source of truth.

Free workspace

A workspace on the Free plan:
  • Does not have a paid recurring plan charge.
  • Uses the limits and features included in Free.
  • Can be upgraded by the Owner.
  • Can still have usage and resource restrictions.
When the Owner selects a paid plan:
  1. Choose the billing interval when available.
  2. Review the plan limits and features.
  3. Continue to the checkout flow.
  4. Complete payment.
  5. Return to Launcher Forge.
  6. Confirm that the workspace plan and status were updated.
The subscription applies to the workspace, not to every member’s personal account.

Billing period

A paid subscription has a current period. The dashboard can display:
  • Period start.
  • Period end.
  • Billing interval.
  • Active plan.
  • Cancellation scheduled at period end.
When cancellation is scheduled, paid access normally remains available until the displayed period end. The workspace then returns to the applicable Free limits unless another plan is activated.

Change plan

Before changing plans, review:
  • Current games.
  • Team members.
  • Storage.
  • Bandwidth.
  • Branches.
  • Private-branch requirements.
  • Template and analytics usage.
  • API and commerce requirements.
An upgrade can provide additional capacity or features. A downgrade can place the workspace above the new plan’s limits. New resource-creating actions may be restricted until usage fits the new plan or the plan changes again.

Cancel the subscription

Only the Owner can cancel. Before confirming:
  • Review the period end date.
  • Review resources above Free limits.
  • Review active private branches and paid features.
  • Review add-ons, because they are separate products.
  • Inform collaborators when access or capabilities will change.
Cancellation does not mean deleting the developer account or workspace.

Add-ons

Add-ons increase specific workspace capacity without replacing the base plan. They can include:
  • Additional storage.
  • Additional bandwidth.
  • Other capacity products added later.
Add-ons:
  • Are billed separately.
  • Have their own status and period.
  • Can expire independently from the plan.
  • Can be purchased and managed only by the Owner.
An Admin can operate the workspace but cannot purchase, renew, or cancel add-ons.

Subscription status

Depending on the billing state, the dashboard can represent states such as: Use the status shown by the dashboard as the source of truth.

Security and billing

  • Do not share the Owner account.
  • Use individual team accounts.
  • Keep billing management restricted to the Owner.
  • Review the active workspace before making a purchase.
  • Verify plan and period after checkout.
  • Keep payment and invoice information private.
Subscription management is configured correctly when the Owner controls billing and all other members operate only within their assigned workspace permissions.
