# Password recovery

> Request an OTP and reset a player password.

# Password recovery

<Steps>
  <Step title="Request a code">The player submits the registered email address.</Step>
  <Step title="Receive the OTP">Launcher Forge sends a temporary recovery code.</Step>
  <Step title="Enter the code">The player confirms the OTP before expiration.</Step>
  <Step title="Set a new password">The new password replaces the previous credential.</Step>
